The improvements

In this chapter you'll find the improvements of Pro(fessional) Ski Instruction over the existing methods, of which the Austrian School (AS) is the globally dominant one. The order of the improvements in the following list is not on the basis of importance, but of didactical logic:

  1. Terms that are logical, in accordance with common usage and easy to remember. [Explanation]
  2. Correct movement descriptions that are in line with the kinesiological sciences. [Explanation]
  3. Clearing up counter/rotation, separation and anticipation. [Explanation]
  4. Teaching the Continuous parallel techniques in a different order. [Explanation]
  5. Teaching shin pressure. [Explanation]
  6. Clear and pragmatic instruction on the stance width. [Explanation]
  7. Correct identification and use of facilitating and complicating exercises. [Explanation]

It should be noted that the implied shortcomings and errors of items 1, 2 and 7 are not unique for ski instruction. They occur in many sports, especially in those that have developed in several countries at the same time.

Uniformity of terminology is an issue in other sports as well. Source: Bowling This Month.

Also, they're not all on the account of just the AS. A number of them are even solely on that of other instruction methods. And on the basis of Safety First, it would make sense that the AS has become the most used instruction method, because it starts with the Plow techniques. But that leaves plenty of room for improvement of the next steps.
